This is Sables response..... After a 19 year career in female impersonation. I felt it was time to pursue another career path. There was no "negative" reason for me to leave, it was simple just time. I enjoyed performing very much... But I had other goals I wanted to achieve. In reference to a comeback show....the answer is no. When I closed the book on that....it was closed for good. I have no desire to perform. Like I said...it was great! But, I am retired from drag. However, I do appreciate everyone's continued interest in the illusion I created.

When we met we were in college....the drag thing just sort of happened. We were always a team.....I never felt like I was "in the shadows" or anything like that....we have always worked toward common goal...and continue to 28 years later. I enjoyed designing costumes for "sable", however, I too was ready for a change...and I have no desire to make costuming. Would I change anything...no, not really. I have been blessed with a great life....a life long partner that I know loves me . So no regrets here!

RR: what's your boy name? what got you into drag ? who is your drag mother?

          JessicaJadeMGA14:

My given name is Billy Wilson. The first time I was ever “painted” was by a former Miss Gay Roanoke, Diondra Dee back in 1999. It was sort of a dare just to see how I would look. I remember being amazed how she transformed me. Shortly after that I took to the stage for the first time at The Park in Roanoke, VA for talent night. I did not win that night, but a seed was planted and I have been entertaining ever since. Diondra was my first drag mother. She taught me make up techniques, drag dancing, and how to walk in heels. Diondra retired from performing way too soon in my eyes, leaving me “orphaned”. Fortunately, I would soon be taken in by the legend Dana St.James of Raleigh,NC. I had always admired Dana and was star struck every time I saw her perform. I finally got the nerve to talk to her and we hit it off. She and I are a lot alike and have the same style in many ways in and out of illusion. She took me in under her wing and has taught me SO MUCH. Till this day I still get star struck when I see her perform. She is my “MAW”and one of my all time inspirations!!!!

RR: who is the the most popular person in the world to Jessica Jade (do u have an idol/SOME1 you look up to most) u can feel free to pick top 3 :)

          JessicaJadeMGA14:

I look up to many people in this world. Way too many to list. Here are three that have inspired me in some way.

          some way.

          A. My Grandmother, Shirley. My grandma was my childhood best friend. I remember growing up watching the soaps, The Brady bunch, and playing in the pool with her. We were/are extremely close. She is the glue that holds our family together and she would do anything for anyone in the world. She truly is an angel here on Earth.

          B. My sister, Alisa. My sister and I grew up in somewhat a dysfunctional family. She and I had to grow up relatively fast. She is my rock. We talk every day, several times a day. She is an incredible mother, wife, and sister. Some of my favorite times are to visit her and my nephew in West Virginia and stay up late watching scary movies.

          C. Kirby Kolby, former MGA 2012. Kirby is a true entertainer and is one of the best in the business. She exudes talent and her hair is untouchable. Off stage, Mark is a giving, thoughtful, intelligent man who shares his knowledge of the business with anyone who ask. I look up to him more then he will ever know.

RR: What (if you have 1) is your Platform as MGA14 , what is it and why?

          JessicaJadeMGA14:

As MGA 2014 I would like to focus on anti bullying. It seems more and more every day we are hearing horror stories of people ending their lives due to be bullied and taunted. This especially is running rampant in our school systems. It is my dream that one day our world will judge each other on our personalities, morals, and values rather than the things people can’t change. Furthermore, as far as bullying is concerned within our schools, stiffer regulations and punishments should be enforced against those that behave in such a way. Going to school is hard enough without non sense such as bullying being added into the picture. If only we could eliminate these behaviors so our children can focus on what’s important, and that’s getting an education to become positive contributing members to society.

RR: What do you look forward to most during your reign as MGA14 and where do you see yourself in 5 years now that you won MGA?

           JessicaJadeMGA14

I most look forward to traveling all over the country representing Miss Gay America. I am excited to go to tons of new places and meet new people, all while building on the legacy that is Miss Gay America. Five years from now I see myself still working in healthcare and still heavily involved in the art form of female impersonation. Once my reign as MGA is over, I plan to stay involved within system, possibly even becoming a promoter to help other entertainers reach their goals.

RR: was there ever a point when u wanted to give up ? if so how did u overcome? any advise for others?

           JessicaJadeMGA14

There were times throughout my 10 year span of competing for MGA that I thought enough was enough and that a break was due. However, I thought back to the first year I competed at MGA and what a horror experience I had, and how after the pageant I vowed I would never return to pageantry or MGA. Those years I didn’t return I was heart-broken. I was glued to Carriefairfield.com and the internet watching for any update on the contests and I ultimately missed the crowning of my MGA sisters, Raquel, Nicole, and Luscious. My advice to those who are hell bent on a dream or a goal is to never give. Yes, it may be hard, it may be expensive, and there will be set back and heart breaks along the way. Cherish the small achievements, enjoy the people that you meet and work with along the way, and with every short coming, practice harder, grow, and become more polished. The things we want most in life, usually come with the most sacrifices, never give up!!! YOU CAN BE ANYTHING YOU WANT TO BE!!!.

RR: do u have a favorite cocktail and/or wine? (i must say i love a good yet sometimes cheap wine ! LoL but with health and belly i have to be super careful

           JessicaJadeMGA14:
My favorite adult beverage is a frozen margarita, no salt!

RR: What do you as MGA think is the biggest problem facing the GLTB community , both inside and outside our community . ( i think its a lot to do with us judging inside out own community as much as the in elected office )

          JessicaJadeMGA14:

I think the greatest problem facing the GLTB community is acceptance. It takes many types of people to make the world go round. I think there is prejudice still against us from those outside our community as well as with in our own. My thought is people should be allowed to do what they want and live however they want, as long as they are not breaking the law or harming others. There are way too many bigger and more important issues in the world to be focused on.

RR: What do you think is the most important thing in life to learn.

          JessicaJadeMGA14:

I think the most important thing in life to learn is to learn and love who we are. Life is so incredibly short and it truly is a gift. Never waste a moment. It is inevitable that there will be things in our life we want to change about ourselves. The way we look, how much we weigh or don’t weigh, the style of our hair, and the list goes on. Sometimes it’s best to just embrace the gifts we have and just live. Simple as it sounds, I try hard to practice, that. For example I started going bald (lol I can’t believe I’m sharing this) when I turned 24, I was so embarrassed. I would always wear hats or spray in my bald spot. Then one day I just said, “Well this is just how it is, I’m bald”… Off went the hat and out went the color spray. Learn to love the things you can’t change and you will be a happier person.

          RR: Pet-Peeves?

           JessicaJadeMGA14:

          Lazy people!!!!

RR: Fav. song to do in drag, all time. and fav. song you've seen another do?

          JessicaJadeMGA14
I don’t particularly have a favorite song to perform to. However, I love doing slow songs. Most slow songs I do have a meaning or message behind them or are saying something that I want to share or they remind of someone. As far as my favorite performance by another? Anything Dana St. James does leaves me in awe and catches my attention.

RR: Finally , any hobbies outside of drag?

          JessicaJadeMGA14:
I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love traveling and experiencing new places and cultures. I like to run and work out and try to take good care of myself. I love scary movies and music, as well as cooking and eating out with friends. Also, believe it or not I enjoy working. I like to stay busy and take advantage of this things we call life to the fullest!

Thank you so much for letting me a part of your journey!!!
